Getting to DoubleTree San Jose


The conference has a block of rooms reserved at the DoubleTree, starting at a daily rate of $200 ($199 plus a dollar fee, not including an additional occupancy tax). This rate is valid between the dates of February 18th and the 24th. While the reservation will require a credit card, it will not be charged until you arrive. There will be a reservation URL in your registration confirmation.

Check-in is at 3pm while check-out is noon. Included in our reservation is free access to the hotel's guest WiFi network. Parking has also been negotiated at a substantially reduced rate of $12/day in the hotel lot.

If you are unwilling or unable to stay in the conference hotel, there are numerous other lodging options nearby due to the proximity of the San Jose International Airport. A few of your options are:

Shuttle buses travelling from the hotel to the reception will be available for attendees. More details will be added as they become available.


Using plain words: From the Doubletree, walk 0.4 miles east to Karina Court Station. Take either the 901 or 902 train 7 stops to San Antonio Station (South). Walk 0.3 miles southeast to the Tech Museum. Estimated travel time is roughly 35 minutes.

The Code4Lib community aims to make the conference accessible for attendees of all abilities. The DoubleTree has a length list of accessible services on its Amenities & Services page including accessible rooms, restaurants, parking, and routes throughout the hotel campus.

Accommodation Requests

When registering, attendees were asked to include any accessibility needs they might require. We are doing our best to meet these needs. Everyone is encouraged to contact the accessibility committee if they have questions or new accommodation needs arise. The accessibility committee may be contacted by:

  • Talking with a volunteer at the registration desk who will forward the request
  • Asking for help from a duty officer

Newcomer Dinner

When: Tuesday, February 19th

The Newcomer Dinner is an opportunity for veterans of the code4lib conference to meet and welcome first-timers. Attendees sign up to join others for dinner the night before the main sessions of conference begin.


Attendees must arrange for their own transportation to the restaurants.
